Our regional economy and workforce depend on a reliable and efficient transportation system to function effectively. In response to that need, the Boulder Chamber traveled to Washington D.C., along with a regional coalition of elected officials, local government staff, and regional partners such as Commuting Solutions, to meet with members of the U.S. Congress and federal agencies such the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration and the Federal Railroad Administration to advocate for federal funding to advance our regional transportation priorities.
After a series of engaging dialogues, our coalition received positive feedback for our top priority projects, ensuring delivery of capacity improvements for The Diagonal/SH 119 and State Highway 7 corridors, as well as continued support of the FasTracks investments.
Northwest Chamber Alliance representatives met with U.S. Representative Jason Crow and U.S. Senator Cory Gardner to advocate for federal funding to address regional transportation needs.
