"A Catalyst for Business Community Support of CU Athletics": 2019 Boulder Chamber CU Football Kickoff Luncheon Celebrates Years of Community Partnership

The Boulder Chamber CU Football Kickoff Luncheon is a time-honored tradition that, for the past 31 years, has symbolized the partnership between the University of Colorado Boulder and the Boulder Chamber in their mutual commitment to strengthening our beloved community.

As Boulder Chamber President and CEO John Tayer explains, the true meaning of the event is best expressed with this photo:

“I’ve never had the chance to actually speak with Peggy and Betty until [this year’s Kickoff lunch],” Tayer said of the legendary CU superfans. “These two are sharp as tacks in their recollection of historic sports moments and in the life of our community. Both Betty and Peggy clearly recall the very first Boulder Chamber-supported Kickoff event and how important it was as a catalyst for business community support of CU athletics. For them, and our sold out audience, it’s a tradition that has a meaningful and positive impact on the relationship our community shares with the University of Colorado.”

The Boulder Chamber is proud to support the University of Colorado and looks forward to another great year of CU athletics. Go Buffs!
