The Business Women's Leadership Group held space at Industrious Pearl Street for community leaders to speak about Juneteenth and its impact on the country.
Equity Policy Advisor Ana Silvia Avendaño-Curiel, author Jeffrey Kass, and scholar Shawn Trenell O'Neal spoke on the historical significance of Juneteenth and ways structural racism and oppression still persists, with a call to action for community members to be active allies and change makers in creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive society.
