City Council and Mayoral Candidates Convene at Issue-Focused Boulder Chamber Candidate Forum
Boulder, Colorado ā August 30, 2023 ā All registered candidates for the upcoming Municipal Election gathered on Tuesday evening at the Boulder JCC for the Boulder Chamber Candidate Forum at which they spoke on hot-button, community issues prior to the November 7 Municipal Election.Ā Ā
The City Council and Mayoral elections carry weight in Boulder; with four Council seats in contention, each candidate addressed the audience and discussed positions and issues critical to their platform and election bid. The four candidates in the first-ever, head-to-head, ranked-choice Mayoral race were also afforded the opportunity to speak openly and discuss key components of their campaign. Each candidate was allowed a few minutes to speak, creating a discourse surrounding Boulder community-focused topics that will influence decision-making at the polls in November.Ā Ā
The Boulder Chamber Candidate Forum is a critical effort by the Policy Programs team to bring attention to the issues most critical to Boulderās economy, our member businesses and organizations, and promote informed voter decision-making in each election. From local elections to state-wide ballot initiatives, the Boulder Chamber approaches public debate over policy issues in an intentionally constructive fashion to arrive at solutions that advance Boulderās long-term interests.Ā Ā
