Meet Matthew!

For Matthew Jensen, Boulder isn’t just where he lives—it’s home. Growing up here, he was shaped by the Flatirons, Pearl Street, and the strong sense of community that always drew him back, no matter where life took him. The energy, creativity, and natural beauty of Boulder make it unlike anywhere else, and he feels lucky to be part of it every day.

As a real estate agent with WK Real Estate, Matthew helps clients navigate major life transitions, whether they’re buying their dream home, selling a family property, or making a fresh start. He values trust, clear communication, and a thoughtful approach to every transaction, ensuring his clients feel confident and supported through the process.

Beyond real estate, Matthew embraces everything Boulder has to offer. He’s an avid hiker, biker, and white-water rafter who never takes the mountains for granted. He also loves the local food scene and the close-knit spirit that makes Boulder special. When he’s not working, you’ll find him cheering on the CU Buffs, spending time with his wife, Diane, and their daughter, Natalie, or captaining his Frozen Dead Guys D-League hockey team.

For Matthew, helping people find their place in Boulder isn’t just a job—it’s a privilege. He’s proud to serve the community that has given him so much and to help others feel at home in the place he loves most.

What is your favorite thing about Boulder (or Colorado)?

My favorite thing about Boulder is its unique blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and strong sense of community. The stunning mountains and open spaces provide endless opportunities for adventure and inspiration, while the town's rich culture offers incredible food, innovative ideas, and creative energy. Most of all, it’s the people—their friendliness, care, and shared love for this special place—that truly make Boulder feel like home.

How long have you been a Boulder Chamber Ambassador?

A long time.

What is your favorite thing about being an Ambassador?

Becoming a Chamber Ambassador was a natural choice for me as I transitioned from the BYP Chair position. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and fostering strong relationships within the community. I’ve always been passionate about supporting local businesses and helping them thrive, and the Chamber provided the perfect platform to do just that. I wanted to play an active role in bringing people together, sharing resources, and creating opportunities for growth and collaboration.
As someone who deeply values the sense of community that Boulder offers, becoming an Ambassador allowed me to give back and make a meaningful impact. I saw it as an opportunity to help others feel welcome, supported, and connected, whether they’re new to the area or long-standing members of our vibrant town.

What other ways are you involved with the Boulder Chamber?

I initially became involved with the Chamber as the Chair of the BYP program, which quickly led to my role as an Ambassador. Over the years, I have actively participated in numerous BWLG and BYP events and graduated from the Leadership Fellows Program. I’ve also been invited back several times as a guest speaker at their graduations. Additionally, I’ve spoken at Boulder City Planning meetings, founded the Boulder Collegians, am a loyal Chamber Member, and take part in various service and volunteer activities. And, in a memorable moment, I even tackled a disruptive individual at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to ensure the safety of those present.

What is your favorite Boulder Chamber event, and why?

Economic Forcast: I know this one isn't one of the sexiest events that the Chamber puts on, But is sure is the most educational. I've really enjoyed the economic insight of Richard Wobbekind.

What’s your favorite hobby?

Playing Hockey

What is your favorite snack?

Chips and Guac
